Augusta University Foundation
In 1963, the Augusta University Foundation was established. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation established under the laws of Georgia exclusively for charitable or educational purposes in accord with section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and subject to all applicable state and federal laws. The foundation functions in cooperation with Augusta University, which is governed by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, and seeks to comply with all policies of the Board of Regents regarding cooperative organizations.

The sole purpose of the foundation is to advance the mission of Augusta University and its long-term academic priorities through the following means:
The development of financial support from individuals, corporations, and other organizations.
The investment and management of funds donated to the foundation.
The use of its assets to fund and assist specific university functions and activities.
Any and all other lawful activities that the trustees and the president of the university deem to be useful to advance the mission of Augusta University.
